Embroidered Denim

When the summer comes around I am definitely more inclined to grab a dress, shorts, or denim skirts…a girl needs to stay cool! Just because the temps are warmer, however, doesn’t mean you have to neglect the denim in your closet.

A lighter wash, embroidered stitching, and a casual girlfriend fit are all little details that allow me to comfortably wear denim that is lightweight and fun! thefemhem-wellesleyandking-pittsburgh-3thefemhem-wellesleyandking-pittsburghthefemhem-wellesleyandking-pittsburgh-23thefemhem-wellesleyandking-pittsburgh-20thefemhem-wellesleyandking-pittsburgh-13thefemhem-wellesleyandking-pittsburgh-9

I styled my denim with a super lightweight and wispy tee and lace-up heels on my way out to happy hour with friends! My go-to accessory to dress up jeans and tee is to add statement earrings. I found these gems at a local yard sale and knew I had to have them! Grab your favorite earrings for a chic and easy outfit!

Fall Basics

My Fall basics consist of cozy sweaters, skinny jeans, and statement accessories. No jacket required! I’m obsessed with these MIA embroidered mules. The floral pattern and bright colors add a pop of flair and fun to any outfit. I like keeping the rest of my outfit simple and comfy, with a few contrasting patterns and texture with my fav crossbody and a statement necklace. What are your go-to fall basics?

Fall is (almost) here!! I am summer gal through and through, but there’s something about this crisp air, pumpkin beer drinking, cozy clothes time of year! I spent a fabulous morning with my blogging bestie Wellesley & King this week checking out the Irving Penn Exhibition at the Frick. It was the perfect morning to show off our fall must-haves.

Animal print is a fabulous neutral palate. This whimsy dress is comfortable and chic! Layer a cardigan, much like Lauren’s over top and booties for a fun alternative to this look.

Hi, friends! To say I’ve been enjoying summer and have been neglecting to blog is an understatement. It feels good to be back! I’ve never met a gingham pattern I didn’t like and this skirt is no exception. It’s comfortable and cute! I’m having a yellow moment this summer and absolutely adore the green and yellow combination. Just add some gorgeous sunshine on a summer day and there’s no reason not to smile. I’m going to keep enjoying this time and I hope you guys do too 🙂 Xoxo
